“Broaden Horizons – Networks and Experiences for Successful Roma Inclusion” will take place on 26th and 27th November 2015, within the framework of the international projects e-Roma Resource and Finally and with the support of the Office for National Minorities. The conference will be held under the honorary patronage of his Excellency Borut Pahor, the President of the Republic of Slovenia.
There are numerous institutions and associations in individual countries and in Europe which operate in the field of Roma integration; various projects are being implemented, a lot of materials were developed, however, they are not renowned enough, often they are not related to each other, and it is difficult for them to ensure the sustainable applicability of the project results. The exchanges of good practices and learning from each other are very important for different professionals who work in the field.
Particularly, this conference is intended for professionals and practitioners, policy makers and the representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations operating in diverse areas of Roma integration (education, employment, culture, health, equal opportunities …) and also for all the institutions searching for future partners.
Its aims are to:
- highlight and draw attention to the importance of connections between the participants operating in the field of Roma integration,
- contribute to the connectivity and the cooperation of ministries and institutions,
- encourage the exchange of good practices and the use of rich literature and materials generated from various projects.
