Roma students who attend a primary school with an adapted education programme – occurrence and resolution of violence
Jasna Banovec, OŠ Dragotina Ketteja, Slovenia
In the last few years, at the primary School OŠ Dragotina Ketteja, we have been facing an increased enrollment of Roma pupils in the adapted educational programme with lower educational standards. By increasing the number of such pupils, we daily face situations in which violence occurs. I would like to draw attention to the phenomenon of violence caused by Roma pupils and at the same time show its resolution and the measures taken as well as the possibilities that teachers have when it occurs. In the contribution, I will highlight the concrete examples from the everyday life at school and dealing with these situations.
